No it wasnt Lee. Try googleing it. It was G. S Patton. Plus that was not Lee's mentality. I would expect that From Nathan Forrest or someone but not Lee.

thats amazing!!!!But it seems that either they misprinted it in my book on the generals of the civil war or YOU could be wrong.It is possible that the publisher made a mistake but don't take offense if I tend to believe them over you

WELL I would say the book is wrong!!!!...... Now i agree with Mr. Wizard and Drewcif. Also CAmojester with all due respect this is not the only topic that has wandered off on pointless things

It would seem youare correct on this Mr.wizard,after getting my book for a better reference that is the correct qoute.It has been about 5 years since I have read it and through old age and TOOOOOO much alcohol I had forgoten some of the finer points to the qoute
 As for camojester as always he is correct and I shall not post on this subject again.As for OBG follow my lead.
