One of the best events ever!

The Free Finale was my 7th scenario.

I do not think that a smile ever left my face for the whole event.

Thanks Billy!, the vendors!, the Refs! and the Players!

I will be back!

Many Thanks to Players

Karen and I would like to thank:

ALL of the players who helped make this happen. Those of you who took the opportunity to try our paint and stopped back to let us know how it was shooting for you - special thank yous. The kind of feedback we received helped us confirm that X.O. paints shoot great.

Billy. He took a big risk and pulled it off fantastically!

Dale Ford, Jamie, Rich, Ben Torricelli: You guys recommended the FF and we're very glad you did.

Everyone else. I've been in paintball since 1983 and in all of those 21 years, I have never seen people give back to the industry like this.

In 1968, Wavy Gravy stood in front of a crowd and said "Its a free concert!"

That was Woodstock, recognized as an historical watershed.

In 2004, Billy Smith stood in front of a crowd and said "Its a free scenario!"

Time will tell...

Personally and speaking for the rest of my teammates on S.C. Roadkill we had a wonderful time! Lowcountry Paintball is a top notch field with a top notch staff. The planning that went into this event had to be enormous. I personally recognized the fine detail in the theme oriented missions, the "OUTSTANDING" reffing for the event, the promptness of the staff and their knowledge of what was going on was incredible. Everywhere I looked I saw fluorescent orange. Every area of the staging area, chrono, air station, proshop, you name it, was manned and ready to service your every need.

The sportsmanship displayed on the field was stellar. Everyone I hit this weekend called themselves out and as I walked the field taking pictures I saw a lot of the same behavior. I stopped in and talked to a lot of teams this weekend and every one of them had the same comments.

One last thing.. Enjoy the pics.... My body took one hell of a beating to get them!

Thanks again!

Rich

Way to awsome to say

Man what an incredable time.
I can't remeber seeing some many teams come together and play witrh a level of fun and intensity as with this event.

Billy, my goggles off to you man, that was one hell of a game and an awsome idea. I just can't say thank you enough.

To the refs, you had your work cut out for you and from what I saw on and off the field you guys were top of the line. It takes a special kind of person to stand there an get yell and cussed at and even threatend and still keep the game in mind not to mention getting lit up just for doing you job.

To the Generals.... Two words. YOU ROCKED!!!

Special props to Jason and David of NOCER. Man you guys have helped our team more in so many ways. It was a true honor to go out and get shot up for you. Oh yeah, we'll keep on walking quietly Jason. Looking forward to playing with you in the future.

To Paul and your crew at Knights Crossing, great meeting you and looking forward to coming to the field. :icon_bigg

To all the other teams and players, thanx for making this a truly huge time.

One thing I forgot to mention earlier was the night reffing. I have been to many scenarios and in almost every instance night reffing was severely lacking at best. I was XO for the C.L.A.P. during the night and all day on Sunday. The refs were great. The base ref was on top of things when we started having radio difficulties, the mission ref had a heck of a time keeping up with Bambuski when he was running his general led missions, but who can keep up with a guy making a two minute sprint from one side of the field to the other?
Every player on my team that talked to me about running into a firefight during night play commented on the fact that there were typically two or three refs on hand during the fire fight. Another thing my players commented on was the fact that bonus balling wasn't as prevalent as it has been at other games. When you are spotlighted at night and are up against a group of 40 or so players you can expect to take some extra shots, but it didn't sound like any of these were true bonus balls. Instead it was just the bad luck of having 20 people all shoot you once or twice each.
For those that don't recall the incident I am talking of, we had a group of 20 C.L.A.P. players escorting our general on a walk around the field mission. They ran into 40 opposing players and everyone except our general was eliminated in short order. Bambuski did a great job and managed to complete the mission solo. He also scared the crap out of two refs in the process tapping them on the back and asking if they were his mission ref while walking through groups of enemy players.

Ditto's here on the Refs. Running a late night mission successfully and then finding your mission ref has gone 10-81 is a bummer. The Ref'ing makes or breaks a game and it was super at this one.

Interglacials are short and then we enter the nasty brutishness of the glacial periods.

The BEST Ever

This was the best event I have ever been to in over 13 years of playing. I have never seen so many people, so many teams, so many great players, and so many giving industry leaders( has any one done the math and figured out how much Ben from MPP gave away?). Romeo, you barrel tagged me in the nuts up at Pendragon but I still want to find the guy with your gun and barrel tag him in the nuts with a baseball bat. This event is the best thing that could possibly happed to our sport. People coming together and giving of their time and money just to let us run around the woods and shoot the hell out of each other. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Dale Ford, I need to set a website and if he is supporting us then I am going to support him. Knights Crossing see you guys in Feb or Mar, LCP see you again in April.

Hey OMEN, you have an avatar, stop asking!!!
Stockclassboy, welcome, but could you try to use MORE paint next time, you just make us look bad, I shot 4000 rounds to your 250.

Billy, again, I just want to shake your hand and say THANK YOU.
Jason from NOCER, we will see you soon too.
