20 yards is quite a ways. That's half a field. The paint you "caught" was probably soft. If it was any good it would have broken. When I first got my Profiler i got bunkered over the top of my prop and the ball went through the foam and sat in my lense. Nothing happened to the mask, and i turned and blasted the kid. I got to keep playing and at the end of the game you could see a perfectly intact ball inside my lense.

I really hate the JT Proteus and the Dye Invisions, they are some very uncomfortable masks and when I yell (I do that during most games) my chin comes waaay below the bottom and that disturbs me. I have 2 Flex 7 Ize masks and I have bounced some balls off the mouth pieces. They are insanly comfortable also. My only gripe is that they are too wide.
I have never played with a Profiler, and I disliked VForce until I tried a Profiler on. It is comfy, has and incedible field of view, and sits close on the face. My only gripe is that they cost $80-$90. I have spent $75 total on my Flex 7s, one new and one used. |
