Testing "New" Medic procedure*
We're planning on doing something different this game with hospital regeneration and Medics. Usually, we have the Medics go to the hit player, wipe the hit, then write the player ID number down on his Medic card. Different producers do it all different ways. On a trial basis, with this game, we're changing it. Each player will be given a laminated "Hitcard" with his Player ID (example below). He will carry this card with his ID on his lanyard, (or wherever he decides to make it accessible). The 'Hitcard" has ten (10) available punch spots. When a Medic goes to a player, he presents his Hitcard and the Medic uses his special hole punch to punch out one of his spots. Ten chances to be healed by a Medic before it's walking and waiting time again at the hospital.
Or is it? We're thinking of allowing players or Generals to "purchase" additional cards. Generals could use their existing token cache to obtain cards for valuable players who have exhausted their punches. OR, players could purchase additional cards by contributing to a till that would go to a group/charity or cool organization... Shall we say like, the Brotherhood of Scenario Players? I'd like some feedback from you guys... Anyway, here's the card design... Jester ![]() (I say "New" in quotes because I don't want to take away anything from anyone who may have done this already... If not, it is copyright GFG! |

Jester I called it a "Toe Tag" when we did it years ago...
I also did a thing where the Medic would tie a bandage around your arm... after 2 bandages and your too incapitated to fight...or like in BB three strikes and your out... Last edited by SirRod; 07-15-2007 at 09:25 PM. |

ive also played this format at some extent, it was a shorter game so we only had 3 punches and a ref was the one who punched it. I like the way you have it and probably like it the best

We used to do like Spiro does... Give the Medic Band-Aids to stick on the player's mask. Unfortunately, adhesive does not stick well to paint oil residue... ![]() I've heard it said that nothing is "new" in scenario paintball. That's why I figured it had been done by someone before Bravo... I like to think of it as "history repeating itself". ![]() |

PLEASE GO WITH THAT!! I hated going to heal people and then getting nailed why asking their number trying to write it down. So Jes, That was a pretty good "popeyes" gig you pulled at that scenario though.

I played in a couple scenario games that used this "style" of medic rules. The twist they added was you had Medics (with hole punches) and after your two hole punches were ... well, punched. You needed a "Doctor" who had a whole punch and masking tape (to cover the already punched holes). I guess you could just have the ref at the dead station be your "doctor" but to each their own.

I have played the roll of medic in many scenarios and I prefer the medic going to the player. It is more realistic and makes the medic have to decide at times if the player is worth the medic being shot and endangering the mission. If you have the player going to the medic it is basically a walking healing station.
I do like the idea of the cards with the medic holding a punch.

The card states it "does not heal head and torso hits". What about gun hits?
