Halo green/red light

Anyone having a problem with halos green/red light coming on and hopper stop working (green/red light still on)? Any solutions? Any thoughts? I have had it apart and all connections look good, have fresh batteries in and it still does it regularly. My next thing is to Ohm out all the connections. Getting frustrated with this. Right from the box this hopper has used batteries like mad. Anyway, any help or insight would be appreciated.

The electronics are sensing a jam. I just fought one that I wanted to assassinate with a tank tread crush because it was jamming and giving the same error.

BTW, all who chimed in on that nightmare. There appears to be TWO different spring cups. If you use the wrong spring cup with a Hot Rod kit, it lifts the cone up too high in the raceway and wont let balls pass through. (God, that sounds nasty!)

THe Halo hummmm........ designed to piss people off I think. Best to run a new set of batterys for every case of paint that you shoot and keep your A5 handy because when you need it the most the Halo will surely fail you.

If that does not work, clean the eye off, sometimes it thinks a jam has occured when there is a slight film on the eye. Mine had that happen not long ago, battery life is back to normal now.Be sure you have not pinched a wire(sure you have checked already)

I do put fresh batts in and the stupid thing still does it. Thanks for the input so far. If you do the "lick test", the batteries that are still in it that register as low are really not that bad. I put them in other things and they still work fine. I have had it apart a few times looking for burrs or something that could cause it to register jam/low batts, but seen or felt nothing. Guess you live and learn. I'll not buy another one of these. Funny thing is though, my kids work fine. Go figure.

You need to manually run a few balls through with the rip drive and see if they're catching on the bottom lip of the raceway/eye tube top cover. I'm not certain if the board gets the jam signal from voltage variation in the motor power or from the eyes. Maybe Greg can shed some light, since this is a stock unit...

The balls go through fine. Good idea, I'll try the eyes first. It stopped working once and I disconnected and then reconnected the eyes, and it worked. But still, shortly after, green/red lights appeared. I might ohm out the motor voltage, I might could change a resistor slightly to alter the voltage in my favor. I wonder if they would take it back and replace it if I haven't modified it. Is this company good about standing behind it's products, or am I going to get "punk" answering the phone, still angry at his parents.

Nope. Welcome to Paintball Solutions handles HALO. They're usually very friendly and easy to work with. It's the repair end of Kee. Unless you try Odyssey Halo direct - OOPS, they're not open. PB Solutions is 800-220-3222. Since I'm the resident "G**D**STINK**" Hopper guy, please let me know so I can add it to my database. Good luck!
