Ok. Here's Part II.

1st, the recipe... I thought I had a pretty good success tonight. The green I wanted was a tad lighter, but I think I ultimately achieved what I wanted to achieve and that was to find Green. Let me tell you that this is no easy task.

To achieve the Green:

Sauce Pan.
1 full bottle of Dark Brown.
2 boxes of Golden Yellow.
1 tablespoon royal blue.

Now, when you look at the color it looks almost like a dark purple. Go figure!

The Ingredients:

Take a good look at this color. You could cook your hopper all night long and it wouldn't change color.. This is when I decided to dump the whole bottle of Dark Brown in. (Keep in mind the only reason I had dark brown was K-mart was out of what I wanted, so dark brown was my "end all" failover plan if I couldn't achieve green.. (This is too much! )

Next, don't put these damn elbo's in the water. Even though I had put pressure on it like a dummy, they still warped just laying in the basket. Spend a few bucks and get the right color for your setup.

I had to borrow my wing cooker basket to make this task easier... Ensure you keep the entire peace submerged at all times for a uniform color. I had to add water constantly because of boil off so keep watching it. I think I checked it every 10 minutes.

Drum Roll! Here's the finished product. The top Dark green hopper cooked for an hour. This is too dark for me. The lighter green cooked for 30 minutes. Either way, I think it looks pretty good on the marker.

Hope this helps everyone out... Enjoy!

Great job!

Now what was that formula:
1)Get a bunch of dye
2)Measure and add appropriate amounts
3)curse/swear
4)Add a cubic butt load of Brown Dye
5)add elbows
6)swear and curse somemore
7)steal important food preperation material
8) add hoppers and overcook
9)swear and curse somemore
10)add new hoppers
11) get what you were looking for

This looks simple and fun

LOL.. Grendel you are right.. It was a lot of fun. One more thing I would like to add is that all stolen preparation material cleaned up nicely.
