Hello...

Well, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Samuel Hartley (Sam). I am the founder of the LPPC (Limited Paint Players Club), and the owner of Shartley Customs. I am the husband of 1, and the father of 4. My kids (at the time of this post) range from 4 years old to 22.

I guess you could call me “old school”, but with an open mind. Although my style of play is far from spray-n-pray, I don’t look down on those who do…. or need to. And although I am not a tournament player, I don’t begrudge those who are. As long as their attitudes are “right”, it’s all good.

For me the sport is about more than just shooting at people. I enjoy the fellowship and conversations at games and events, and have often sat out a game or two just to chat about the industry or paintball in general. And I would not think twice about giving my paint to a kid who is on his first day of playing but does not have money to buy any more paint. Heck, I have played my share of games and there will be another day.

I believe it is the duty of every seasoned player to help foster good sportsmanship and the true spirit of paintball among new players. I believe every seasoned player should watch for safety issues and correct them when seen. And I believe it is the duty of every seasoned player to help those coming up in the sport whenever they can, be it with their equipment, tactics, or whatever.

I am far from being a “paintball God”, the best on the field, best airsmith, or even the most knowledgeable person in the game, but I do what I can to help further the sport and promote a positive image. It is not uncommon to see me directing new players on the field or surrounded by them. This is not because I “take over” but that they seem to be drawn to me…… this may be a blessing or a curse.

I don’t know what else to say….. Um…. Hello.

Hey Sam... I can definitely speak for everyone here by saying we are glad to have you and "Welcome to PBjunkie.com".

Just as you have described "the sport is not only just about shooting someone, it's the fellowship and conversations at games and events, and have often sat out a game or two just to chat about the industry or paintball in general" this site is built on these principles and we promote nothing but sportsmanship and respect for the fellow player.
