I would be ashamed to know that any of my colleges would ever give less than excellent care to any one let alone an officer of the law.
Just a quick little antidote: A drug dealer was brought into the emergency room, with a GSW "Gun Shot Wound",to the upper thy. The bullet had missed the femoral artery, bones etc. The staff gathered around the wounded drug dealer, began care. A nurse cut off the wounded man's shorts and tossed them into a corner of the treatment suite. Suddenly there was a loud report with in the suite.
The drug dealer had a small automatic in his pants pocket and when thrown into the corner by the nurse it had discharged and shot the doctor in the buttocks.
The nurses do not toss clothing around in the ER any more.
