i like the overall design. The Ion is a spool valve marker which reduces kick because it has less moving parts. Remember, this spyder is still a sear tripping spyder, it just has eyes. That- and spyders are notorius about having bad springs. Common joke is that: if you buy a spyder, always buy 3 extra spring kits with it

I will agree with the springs,I own 3 spyders and 5 spring kits, but I have always liked them for some strange reason.

haha 3 spyders and 5 spring kits, thats funny, but yeah i like spyders too i just recently sold mine and bought an ion tho, i like the ion better cuz its lighter, spool valve, bolt is internal, look and feel, and it has a higher BPS: only downfall is it has to run off of HPA

I wouldn't run an electra on co2, you'd eventually ruin the reg.

My Money is on the reg seals going before anything would even start to happen to the solenoid, seeing it's mostly mechanical and somewhat detached from the pneumatics.

It is an electro-pneumatic spool-valve marker while the Electra is a blowback marker. The Ion is lighter and more effecient.
