frist they work the same on all spyders. the veloicty adjuster is in contact with a metal disc which is in contact with the sear which stablizes the spring (i think). when you turn up the velocity you push the spring forward which makes the spring compress more when you cock the gun. when you release the striker is pushed foward by the spring which has more force stored in it's coils. the force pushes the striker into the valve pin opening up the valve more, than if you had the velocity ajuster out, and it allows more volume of gas into the valve body which causes the ball to be pushed with more force out of your gun.

I loaned out my Rodeo this past weekend, and apparently the sear spring jumped out. it was nowhere to be found inside the marker. Anyone know where the best place is to get a new one? Thanks!

Thumbs down Kingman will Fix it for FREE!!

I recently (during the last battle at Bakara) broke the trigger on my Shutter. Through the thoughful help of several others, we came to the conclusion that it was either the trigger sear, or the sear spring. Disheartened, I began to look for parts (or maybe a new/used trigger frame). On a whim I emailed the Kingman tech department for advice. They responded that they would be happy to fix it for FREE!

Sounds fishy, huh? I called them and it was explained to me that the owner of Kingman wants all their equipment serviced for free, at any time, regardless of how old it is, all we have to do is pay for any parts they need.

You simply UPS it to them (cost me about $10) with your contact information. They will look the marker over, call you with any cost on parts, perform the labor for free, and ship it back to you at no cost.

You pay parts and get it to them, They will fix it free and get it back to you.

That is GREAT customer service.

***UPDATE!!*** I just spoke to the Kingman repair guys, and guess what. They fully serviced my Shutter, replaced ALL of the o-rings, a couple of screws I was missing, the reg-gauge, the bolt lock pin (with no charge for any parts!), and sent it UPS back to me.... FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

more questions

I just bought a new imagine led. And it says its speced at about 12 bps. Well I have since found out that gravity hopper wll not feed fast enough. ( paint on everything ) hehe
But the question is witch e-hopper would be recommented. I read the hopper section and love that. I just dont know the names or anything so I really dont know witch one is reliable. Adgitated or semi force feed. That kinda stuff.
Before you answer that I will probably be upgrading the gun so I want a hopper that would hold up to a little bit of upgrading aswell. So I was thinking something around 14bps.

Witch hopper would be good for the money?

Also about barrels. I was told by a friend to go with J&J ceramic barrels.
But I also found a CMI straight rifled Quit barrel.
I'm looking for accuracy.
Witch do yall like?
And does the straight rifling help any?

Thanks guys.

Loader and Barrel advice

Depending on the budget you play with...

I would recommend the VL 12v Revolution with X-board. It is fairly inexpensive, and will load plenty fast enough for you.

Also, a good barrel is ESSENTIAL to good accurate shots. Most markers do not come with a very good one stock. I use the 14" PMI Razzor barrel. It is nice, shoots GREAT, and you can get one for about $25 online if you look.

Try looking at anythingxtreme.com. They have pretty good prices. I also have a couple of the VL's, new and in the box that I would sell you for $20.

Let me know!

MD

I would suggest on an egg(evolution 2 from view loader) and as far as accuracy goes that depends on your paint to bore match and your paint.

Ok guys I need help finding...

I'm looking for an adaptor for my spyder. So I could use a tippman barrel on it.
I can't seem to find one anywere.

And the thought keeps running through my mind that maybe theres a reason I cant find one. Like maybe the bore size of a tippmann is different enough to were tippmann barrel would not work on a spyder. I'm looking for an answer. Because with enough parts I'm thinking of ultimatly during my spyder into a scenario style marker. ( I know would probably be cheapper to just buy a tippmann. But wheres the fun in that. lol ) I like the look of the tippmann barrels.

If no one knows of any reason a tippmann barrel would not work on a spyder then I'll just machine an adaptor for it.

Thats in advance.

It will work fine for with an adaptor but honestly I don't think they make Tippmann-Spyder adapters. At least I have never ever seen or heard of any. I know they are vice versa though, Spyder-Tippmann adapter I have one of those. Sorry I can't help ya more.
