thanks for the tip about there being electras both with and without eyes
I'm still searching for best route, and price, for either VS3 or electra w/eyes. It seems that these two configurations (w/rocking trigger frames) should be very close in performance. Maybe the VS is lighter? I think both even have ACS Delrin bolts? I'm checking now for effiecency comparisons/operating pressures from the Kingmann site just for a point of reference. thanks for the tips, and any additional insight/experience is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Last edited by Volcano; 01-16-2007 at 05:17 PM. Still that's good to know since this'll be our first marker with eyes and it's for a teen that WILL abuse the heck out of it

I heard from someone that you have to buy a special insert thing to hook up compressed air to a spyder pilot. Do you know if that's true or can i just put it on? Also i was wantin to know if a frieck barrel would work good for my gun or does it not have enough power to make a difference?

I am trying to fix my buddys MR2, since he dosent know much about paintball markers. It seemes whenever he gets to really ramping down hard on a opponet, you have to recock the cocking lever in order to shoot the gun again. its like after awhile it just stops recocking itself. I pulled the gun apart myself and lubed it up, even went through the bored looking for problems, and all seemed well.
Anyone have a clue?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he may have excessive wear on the sear or even the hammer. On some of the electronic blowback guns I encounter, with the TipE98 being the worst, all the fast firing tends to prematurely wear down the sear. If you pull the grip frame and look at it, you can see the rounding off of the sear tip, if that's the case. You can either replace the sear or just take a file and sharpen it up again. In rare instances, I've found that the hammer channel that the sear catches on will do the same thing and become angled instead of flat to catch the sear. File or replace that if you find it to be the case.
But before you do any of that, make sure you have a fresh SPYDER orange pliable o-ring on the hammer. Good luck... ![]() |
