VS3 issues
alright guys, one of my team members won an MR3 at Leyte in Nov, and then promptly traded it for a Like New VS3 in the parking lot.
i took it home to test it for him, and it seems like the noid is not kicking the sear hard enough. you can hear it actuating, but the bolt isn't moving. it stays hung on the sear. i took it all apart and everything looks brand new, well-lubed, and well maintained. i'm not the best gun tech, but i'm by no means incompetent either... i'm stumped. a little help here?

i'll be at PBC saturday- the same guy has a DMC that he bought when we were in Japan and it now leaks air internally... but he only wants me to drop the DM at the proshop- he said he'll just pawn the VS3 if i can't fix it. he doesn't want to spend any $$ on it.

Rechargeable 9.6 volts like GFG states. I have seen people put brand new enregizers into a spider and it not work correctly because the voltage is not the same as the rechargables that come with them. Its a weird issue but it does happen.

you honestly think that the fresh non-kingman 9v batt could be the cause?? i still have the rechargeable batt, but i'll have to dig through my 55gal Man-Size trash can in the kitchen. i do not however have or know anyone who has a kingman charger.

Its hard to say. I have seen it go both ways. I have seen some that wouldn't work with the rechargable and would with regular batteries then I have seen them that wouldn't work with regualr batteries and would with rechargables. Its a coin toss, but if your having problems with the sear not tripping then I would start with trying the different batteries.

The Kingman markers need 9.6 volts to trip the sear solenoid. Most of the rechargables yo get at Wal-Mart or elsewhere will work, as long as they're 9.6V. If you have anyone close to you that can recharge it or if you can get a wall wart cheapie, try that. And you can take the grip off and manually depress the sear release to make sure that there's not some super strong spring in it or a spring that is compressed too tight. But my bet's on the battery, bro.
