Let me introduce you guys to the brand new Dye C5 Attack Pack. Dye decided they needed to make a harness that will change the standards of any previous pack ever designed. Let me tell you, Dye succeeded. Incorporating comfort and versatile performance all-in-one to make a comfortable pack that does its job effortlessly and without hassle. Just by looking at the pack you can just sense that Dye looked at all the leading pack designs and incorporated what they believed was needed for the perfect paint carrying harness. After testing this pack I truly believe they have succeeded.
The new Dye 05 Attack Pack just straight up looks impressive. A lot of help comes from the new elastic outer layer that is covered in stylish design to match the new C5 jersey and pants. The stylish design is accompanied along with some nice padding to protect the paint in your pods and to get the occasional bounce. Another appealing quality with the new C5 Attack Pack is how small and compact the actual pack is. . . I mean it is really crazy watching games and having to focus on a player’s back just to realize that in fact that player is wearing a pack. When The Men played at the NPPL’s Commanders’ Cup, it looked like they were going at it with just a hopper, you didn’t even realize that they had packs on at all. To me that just illustrated how compact the C5 Attack Pack is.
Dye realized comfort was of the utmost concern so they used a “Four Point Elastic Belt.” This consists of a main Velcro belt and two extra straps which are connected to the outer layer of the pack to ensure your pods don’t bounce around while running to the 50 or trying out the latest dance moves to impress the ladies . . . What really surprises me is that you don’t have to strap down the belt to the point that you can’t breathe to insure a secure.
What always stood out in the past Dye packs was the comfort back pad, the C5 Attack Pack is no exception. A very soft, fleece like material is used along with woven vented-fiber memory elastic which molds to your body. This allows the pack to vent air making sure you stay cool.
It is such a waste of money to buy multiple packs to play different forms of paintball. Dye understands this and offered to the public a extremely versatile pack. X-ball, 7-man, or even 10-man it doesn’t matter, this pack does it all. You can hold from 1-11 pods, this is done so easily thanks to the new innovative outer belt layer. If you look between the main pack and the belt you will see a webbed design of elastic loops to hold extra 7 pods. As you use up these pods the pack conforms around the extra space. This makes the pack a very tight package with no extra material just dangling there just waiting to get hit. The 4 main pod sleeves are made up of ballistic stretch nylon so when you grab a pod the pod is ejected into your hand and held firmly in place by the nylon until you pull it out. Another ingenious feature is that the pod straps are also made up of the same stretch nylon so after you take a pod the strap retracts into the harness hidden from a lucky shot. The straps are also really heavy duty making it a breeze to grab a hold of.
The Dye C5 Attack Pack is available in 4 colors: red, yellow, blue, and gray. M.S.R.P. for the C5 Attack Pack is $99.95 which at first might sound like a lot for a paint harness, but if you think about it you will never need another pack to compete in all the different formats that paintball is played ever again. Plus, with all the features that the Dye C5 Attack Pack offers and the quality of this harness the price is well worth it.
