I actually thought this movie was boring in a lot of areas however it had some really funny momments. In comparsion to Napolean Dynamite I don't think this flick could hang...

This movie is extremely funny if you go into it knowing that it is a satire about America. Almost everyone he comes into contact with does not know who he actually is (Pamela Anderson def. did). The guy at the rodeo, the man selling him the best gun to "kill the jew", the USC guys; he is just pointing out some things that are wrong in America. I bought the DVD, and it comes on a disc that looks like a burned movie; looks just like a cheap DVD with borat written in sharpie. Even the DVD disc has sarcasm on it. And if you ever get the DVD, watch the extra scenes that were deleted. They have news reports from the town of the rodeo, incidences wehre the cops stopped him, and Conan/Jay leno clips. Very funny stuff.

But if you watch it and didn't like it, it may just not be your type of humor.

Since I don't think it's in theatres anymore, I give it a:

i didnt find it terribly funny. I laughed at it more out of "i cant believe they did that" than it actually being funny. I think the journalistic ethics are questionable-- but i do appreciate them for pushing boundaries. so it gets a 2.5 out of 5 for me.

I agree with Drewcif...It's less of a 'funny- ha ha' and more of a 'funny- strange'

I rented it and still fell like I overpaid

It had its moments, definantly not worth watch more than twice. Although all of his Gypsy tears comments are hilarious. Most the scene's are on You tube as well as a bunch of other Borat clips from along time ago.

i do not have the dvd yet, but i want to see the extras so bad! i thought the movie was great. and to have a fat naked man sitting on your face, you really have to believe in what you are doing is going to be funny!
