I always thought Dukes of Hazard would be interesting with a more gritty portrayal and real southern actors.....sorta like the old Burt Reynold movies before Smokey and the Bandit.

Absolutely!! It really pissed me off the way they turned everybody into a bunch drug using, horny rabitts in the one they did. And then they had the gall to make fun of the flag on the General Lee. OMYGOODNESS, I'd kick their butts on principal alone given the chance!!

And if that wasn't enough, they depicted the people in Atlanta as being the kind of people who would crack on the flag--so they insulted them & the flag. Movie wasn't that funny either.

I hope the fire in california burned the director's house down!

i think they are doing a halo movie- but its CG and not live action... i might be wrong.
they should make a movie called, Jessica Alba: a day at the nude beach

I had heard about the HALO movie, but nothing about CGI...


ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE: I was born in the south, and raised by southern parents, and still say "Yes Maam/Sir, and No Maam/Sir" when talking to my parents or people in authority, as I was taught. Despite having lived the major portion of my life, north of the Massey-Dixie Line, I still consider myself a southener.

Imagine my suprise and outrage, when I was approached at work a couple of years ago, and told I had to remove the Confederate Flag sticker off my hard hat.

WHY? Because it was a racist emblem, and I had no right to spread hatred at work. To which I "calmly" as possible told them that my "Stars-and-Bars" would come off my hardhat the same time the US Flag came off the otherside, ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER US FLAG ON HARD HATS, FLYING FROM POLES, OR DISPLAYED IN ANYWAY, ANYWHERE ON THE WORK SITE!

I was told with much Holier-than-thou-indignity, that men and women had died fighting for the US, under the Flag. And that the Confederate Flag only represented racism, and hatred.

I explained to this person-of-limited-mental-capacity, that my family had fought and died under both Flags. And that because other persons-of-limited-mental-capacity, hid their faces behind sheets, and saluted the Confederate flag, while spouting hate; and others fly the Confederate flag next to a **** flag, while shaving their collective craniums-of-limited-mental-capacity, and spouting hate, DOES NOT MEAN THE CONFEDERATE FLAG REPRESENTS RACISM AND HATRED.

Any more than persons-of-limited-mental-capacity, who pray on their knees, while facing Mecca, and wear turbins, and vests of C-4, screaming hate and death to the "Great Satan, America" should make us as PROUD US CITIZENS, hang our heads in shame and take down our flags, because HALF THE WORLD, THINKS THE US FLAG REPRESENTS FACISM AND BIGOTRY!!!

I AM AS PROUD OF MY SOUTHERN HERITAGE, AS I AM OF BEING AN AMERICAN, AND WILL NEVER STOP FLYING EITHER FLAG.

Needless to say, I still have BOTH flags on my hardhat, and NO I didn't lose my job either. THEY WOULDN"T DARE!!!

Sorry, the comments about "Dukes of Hazard" reminded me of this episode

**** , must not be able to write the name of those who wore brown shirts and had a red flag with a white circle, with an ancient symbol of a black broken cross in it.
