Camo for PBC

I havn't been able to find much info field wise for Paintball Charleston so I thought ide ask. Im doing some gear shopping this weekend and wanted to get some tips on:

Terain type(s)Boots or shoes?

Foilage type(s) what kinds of camo work at this time of year? in the spring? in the summer?

what are the players like? Am I gonna get out there and have knowone say a word to me the whole time? Are most people friendly?
I know these are very noob questions, had a bad experiance at another field and it was my first and only time there and all anyone did was yell and be a bunch of ass clows to me. This is only my second time going to a field.

thanks in advance

don't worry about charleston players, great people as well as great players.Just get out and mingle on friday night, meet the teams and players and I guarentee you will make new friends before the night is over.As far as camo, rarley wear it(I am a large target LOL) so can't help much there.Boots probably the best due to differing terrain at the field

Just a little tip for when you go out there is to watch the ditches. I'm pretty sure after all of this rain they will be full.

I always wear my cleats. While reffing, the camo that i have noticed working the best is the real tree hardwoods. PBC is a lot of light colored trees and bushes due to all the paint throughout the year. The hardwoods is a good pattern for the terrain.

PBC has a huge crowd of friendly players. Don't go out there acting like an almighty badass though. you will get targeted. Just go out to have fun and enjoy yourself because there are a lot of other people out there trying to do the same thing.

the only way you will get yelled at is if you violate the safety rules we are VERY VERY big advocates of safety and take it very seriously, get there early and check out the staff, and ask for a complete detailed safety briefing and im sure they would be happy to oblige

i used to wear boots, because there is some uneven terrain around the perimeter of the field, but being that i look mainly for the big firefights, i gravitate toward the open area in the center portion of the field. that being said, i rock turf cleats in dry conditions...

and in wet comditions....

as for the people, i've been playing events and recball at PBC for a long time now. the people are very friendly and likeable.. as long as you are too.
just go to have fun and that is exactly what you will get... i don't know much about camo... i wear black and white speedball junk.

I did a blog on Multicam camo. It really is pretty good for the camoflauge part of a bdu.
Here is my post at Scenariostyle.
