i'm assuming your talking about anti-chop eye's? if so, no you don't need covers and I really don't know how you would do it anyway. We are talking about "pin prick" holes in the breach of the marker. The only thing suggested is to take a q-tip and use rubbing alcohol to clean them out so they can detect properly.

yeah i'm talking about anti-chop eyes and i was looking online and i saw eye covers for 25$ and i was wondering if they were worth it. My friends who have guns with eyes have covers, i guess its to keep dirt out and protect the wires. I don't want to spend 25$ on something i'm not going to need. jw-are they suggested?

shoot. you mean covers for the outside of the marker. Duh! I would say it's a good investment. Mine are covered in JB weld (not pretty, but does the job) and the only open area is in the breach.

Using an expensive gun that would have eyes you wouldn't want to use ducktape because it leaves stick stuff on the gun

I'm assuming you're talking about eyes for your e99, then yes you need to buy covers. They keep your eyes aligned properly, protect the wiring from snags and the weather, and hold your eyes in the gun. They help protect the eye itself and allow for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Definitely invest in eye covers, if not you'll regret it later.

yea i have a a4 and i am thinkn of getting the eyes on it, but yea for top-level guns (i.e $1000+) you would be stupid not to have eye covers, if you dive into the snake thats the only thing that keeps the wires from pulling out of the gun and creating a REALLY BAD headache....

on a e99, yea duct tape will work fine
