you can't say that the A-5 sucks man...they don't. thats why they are one of the most popular woodsball markers out there to date. obviously i am biased towards the spyder lines. I think you should just spend the extra money and get an MR-2. i use it and it works great. easy to adjust velocity, looks better than the MR-1 IMO. Mine has only broken down once b/c we played in the rain and a ball broke and jammed. i wouldn't just go for some "cheap" marker man. you're going to regret it. if you want something that is INEXPENSIVE, yet works great and has loads of upgrades, i hate to say it, but get an A-5 or C98. if you are like me and love spyders, get the MR-2 or 3 unless you just hate electronic markers. in the end its up to you and your tastes. but i wouldn't buy a marker b/c it is cheap. buy it b/c you like it, you can afford it, and its a durable gun. thats my $.02

my setup is better than yours......i hope.....

ive used a 98 once and loved it shoots slow like 6bps but its more accurate than any other starting gun except the A-5
or thumper may have a cheap pump for sale
helps keep paint costs down and are very very accurate

Good advice

I have gone through several markers in a short time period, not because there was anything wrong with the guns, but because they just weren't right for me. Look around, use a variety of markers in actual games not just target shooting and decide what is best for you.
