Greetings!

I am putting together a group of local woodsball/scenario players in and around Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Seattle and beyond who want play for fun for now.
The group is called the Kommando Kompanie , a German themed team. A mil-sim group that will be loosely based on the modern German Army but also borrowing from other eras and also looking forward to the future. Members are encouraged to wear flecktarn and also tropentarn (for desert/plains games). If you don't have any or know where to get any, let me know because I can get it really cheap! No dues, no fees. Just fun.

Founded in 1991 the Commando-Company was a revolutionary breakthrough in the German Armed Forces. Following the example of international Special Response Forces the unit has been trained and equipped to solve hostage rescue questions to carry out special warfare missions and counter-terrorism operations worldwide.

The official order has been: “Rescue of German citizens from abroad”. As it would had been necessary in April 1995 in RWANDA as employees of the broadcasting service “Deutsche Welle” were captured by rebels in KIGALI.

The Commando-Company was part of the paratrooper battalion 252 in NAGOLD (Black Forest Region) and was official called 5./FschJgBtl 252 Kommando.

The Company was structured in Commando-squads of 8 soldiers. It is proven that a team strength of eight is the best for carrying out such Commando-raids as this unit has been created for. Each Commando-squad was called by a letter: Commando ALPHA, Commando BRAVO, CHARLIE, DELTA, ... and each Commando was trained and equipped for it’s special mission: freefall, sniper, hostage rescue, combat diver.

The high level of professionalism was achieved by hardest personnel selection. Each soldier had to pass several tests and courses. For example:

Medical courses, parachute training (static line and freefall), survival course of the German army and Armed Forces of foreign contries, a sniper training with G3ZF (H&K), Accuracy .300 WinMag, Remington700, the Russian Dragunov, PSG1, MSG90, explosive/non-explosive entry tactics for hostage rescue and helicopter training as well as CQB shooting courses together with U.S. Special Forces und GSG9.

The Company was able to use a wide range of firearms: There were quite unknown assault rifles like the WIEGER (5.56x45) manufactured in the former GDR, the SMG Scorpion, and the machine gun HK21, the Russian Makarov pistol and of course the MP5-k, MP5-SD and the complete AK47 / AK 74 family.

Apart of physical fitness and weapon skills the men had to be calm, stable, eager to learn and willing to train.

The last mission has been in behalf of the United Nations from July - December 1995. Where the Company was responsible for protection the German Contingent of United Nation Peace Force in Yugoslavia.

The Commando-Company was dissolved in 1996 because of a reform in the German Armed Forces.

This team theme is dedicated to all men on the sharp end of counter-terrorism, especially to all members of the former Commando-Company NAGOLD who are the roots of the present KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte).
