end thoughts on game

I just came back from stalingrad and wanted to collect everyone's opinion on the game.I enjoyed the game for the most part, the refs were a bit unexperienced on sat but got better that night and sun. Camojester did an excellent job as general, he just needs to stay away from those mickey finns that mario sent  .Carolina Pain enjoyed playing with splinter cell, a great group of guys that every team could look to for guidance. Camojester, ho ,vader, deacon, hear no evil, and all the others we appreciate everything yall did for us. As usual ben had a great set-up for this game, story line was awesome.Hope to see every one again soon.

The field overall was very thick. Off the roads , it was very difficult to move on the fiield except for a few places. If the field was played a bit more to open up some game trails, that could improve.

The German side had a major disadvantage in that the German base (And insertion point) was four or five times farther away from the staging area than was the Russian side. Also, the russian base was far more defendable. There was a major road heading to the back side of German base.

The snipers added an interesting twist to the game. In real life, snipers had very long ranged rifles giving snipers the ability to really hide a long ways from the target and be invisible. This is hard to duplicate in paintball. But additional points for sniper kills did add flavor and the use of stealthy players in the sniper role did make for some interesting game play.

Overall, it was a good game.

POST GAME:

Thanks to ALL the people who came out. I would like to say again that the German team worked there butt off for me. As a first time general for a big game it was not easy. I really did have a good time, except for Saturday night.

Since I player a Sniper roll I used the pink Anarchy all weekend (I used less the 200 balls all weekend) and it performed well and I know guys who used both the Nelson and the Anarchy and prefered the Nelson. So I can only conclude that the Neson shot pretty good since I was very happy with the Anarchy.

pink and yellow

My sniper loved the yellow stuff - but the cocker didnt really like either one. The pink paint had some big seams. Both were fine for field paint.
