It was one of the best weekends I've every had. I don't think we could have had a better General and support staff.
Susie and Bob were great, and with Ben, they put on a great game. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet everybody on here, but next time, I'll do my best to introduce myself. Thanks for the great game from everybody invovled.

Great game. I absolutely loved it. This was one of the few games where I never saw nor heard of any bad blood, cheating etc. Couldn't ask for more.
And I want to say to one of the Charleston tanks, I think it was the one Junkie was in, thank you for your sportmanship. On the high road we shot out the first one of you that came by and while he was moving off you came up and shot out a couple of people and we never knew you were in because you still had your flag up, and you showed great sportmanship and without arguing decided to go off the field and wait your next turn to come in which you didn't have to do at all. That is the kind of honor and sportmanship that we should see throughout the entire sport. Oh yeah, Brain, I was shooting 265. Just so ya know. Last edited by Rembrandt; 04-23-2006 at 08:27 PM. |

Those two individuals were Deadeye and Rasta Tim of SC ROADKILL. I have to agree with Spyderman's comments at the award ceremony.. Sportsmanship takes precedence over everything and being recognized for it like this is an honor especially by a fellow player. Thanks Rembrandt and congrats teammates.

I was there when their flag was up. That was really great of them to call themselves out. Scenario seems to be where the real sportsmanship of paintball comes out and really brings out the best in our sport.
The only downside is that the storm on Friday lent to me getting a nasty head cold...but I'd rather have it and went to this great game and been healthy and missed it. Mad props to everybody involved.

I also have several friends I'd like to thank for helping us out this weekend. After game-on we could not get our tank started and instead of "You Know" taking his tank on the field he went to get his truck to give us a tow so we could get up and running.. Not to mention giving us his Pop-up for the weekend because we were struggling to get ours up. My hats off Ron!
Bobio.. It isn't everyday that you see a "MUCH" older gray haired man (hahaha) running down a hay field with the rocket that just eliminated him to congradulate us on our shot! You simply ROCK my friend! Allen (I'm pretty sure from the Blackhearts).. I met Allen this weekend right after he got done asking me if there was anything he could do for us. I don't know this guy from shineola and I felt like I could have given him a shovel to dig us a fire pit and he would have done it.. Great meeting you Allen. I look forward to playing along side you in the future.. BooBoo and Deacon.. True sportsman just like the rest of their team mates.. We met in battle this weekend and it's always a shake of the hand afterward and a cold one after hours! Gotfather.. Thanks for welcoming us next to the fire and providing us a place to sit. Team Nitro is comprised of a great bunch of folks. I'd play with you guys anytime. Mark "Wheels" Anderson.. You got some serious balls my friend.. It takes a hell of a man to be inbetween two tanks as they are battling to get the right call.. Better yet a smile on your face after getting NERFED! ![]()

Ahhh...Junkie, do you remember asking a guy if he was going to help out his buddy and the guy replied "He's...not really my buddy...I just met him..." That was me.
I'd also like to thank Doug, Mel, Nick, Eric...Everybody with Code 3. If they hadn't taken me in and shared a fire, a shelter from the rain, and most importantly, their trust, I'da been a lonely lonely man this weekend.

First, I would like to thank all the British players for making a historic moment possible. I was informed that every since MPP Ben has been running games at BearClaw, the team that has had the Satalite base (London) has never won at his events. This is the first time that the Satalite base has won an event. This would not have been possible if not for all the great teams and players on the British side. I will admit that Ben did try to stack the deck a bit against us, he did move the northern boundry up by about 100 yards, and that made it really very difficult to control. And to be honest, it made it almost impossible to control at all. We were prepared to deal with the terrain the way we left it the last time we were there (Kursk). But, Nooooooooo, had to throw in a wrench in the works, didn'cha? The Germans pretty much came and went as they pleased on the hill above London. We were able to keep them out of our base, but I will tell you this, it was just barely. CUDO's to the Germans. They really pounded us good from the hill.
Also, once again, I did not notice that much cheating on the field and that is still a GOOD thing. At all of these type events you will have a certain percentage of players that will cheat and it seems that Bens' little passionate speech at the players orientation had some positive effect on the crowd. Did you notice how the little squiggly vein on his forehead stuck out when he was talking about cheating? Scary stuff. For Castro: I learn something all the time. I learned this this weekend: If you see Castro on the field, shoot him first, then Chit-Chat.
