Most comon size of paintball in Scenario?

Ok I am looking at buying a barrel kit. What size is considered the most common size paintball in Scenario games. I have 3 boys that play with me and instead of buying a whole set of backs, fins, or inserts for a barrel system for each of us; I am looking at what is conisdered as the most common or necessary sizes in scenario paintball. The barrel that I am looking at is the Hammerhead barrel and looking at starting with either one fin or the 3 fin kit.

Shoot first, question ... oh forget it, just shoot, period.

All standard paint is approximatley .68 caliber, that varies usually from .684 to .689 there is NO set standard on size of paint but i reccomend something like a .688 if available, kind of in the middle and a good all around size...most scenarios have a variety of paint, so determine which works best with your barrel. ALSO, may i reccomend the DYE ultralite as opposed to the Hammerhead, FAR more accurate and an all around better barrel

MY 2 cents

My experience the last year or 2 is paint is in general small, .687 to smaller than .679. If you do not try to rapid fire it is better to be tight then loose IMHO

ide say a .684 back has provided a nice fit for 90% of the field paint over the last 3 years -- especially Draxxus and RPS stuff.

I agree w/ Thumper, most of the paint I have seen in the last 2 yrs. is running small bore.

I normally frown on resurrecting old threads, but has anyone else noticed the paint getting bigger these days? It seems to me my .689 and .691 backs are seeing more usage than ever before. I know some swelling is heat related - but I'm just curious if yall see a trend too..

I have been using .684 and .688 and have found that this gives me a good snug fit with the paint used at most fields. Draxxis, Marballizer, Evil, RPS, PMI.

I use nothing but Dye Ultralite barrels, which are on the expensive side, but the BEST BARRELS in the business.
