Why is this done?

Ok i was out in my back yard shooting my Tippmann 98.I noticed that the paint moved around alot.I also noticed that the paint looked like it floted on the Co2.I think that an expansion chamber will work.I looked it up and think it will work. But i need ya'lls profesional help on this one.I really apreshiate it.

Barrel....? What is propelling the ball is not going to make a differnce, what it is being proppeled through will make a differnece, and the quality of paint...

Paint to bore size is what matters the most with accuracy.

Getting compressed air will make it more consistent but won't help with accuracy.

it might not help make it more PRECISE but the overall accuracy(characterized by a group of shots grouped close together where as precision is only 1 shot in relation to a given target spot)will be improved seein as how the shots are more consistant they have a greater tendancey to go in the same spot(accuracy)...

What they said.

The only thing I would add is in reguards to an expansion chamber. They help but not alot. Get a regulator (Palmer Stabilizer) or HPA for better consistancy.

Consistancy, barrel to paint bore match, and good paint all play in to accuracy.

Me and my dad looked at something that he said would reduce the amout of Co2 coming out of the barrel when the paintball is shot.He also said this thing would help the paint be more accurate. When i find what we were looking at i will post the link here.By the way my dad knows ALOT about makeing guns accurate. It helps for him to have been in ROTC and him shooting VERY accuratley.
