Not sure...I know what most know about the MOUT projects. There is a going away kinda thing on the last weekend in April FRR is colsing to help at AAA. It is more of a thank you AAA celebration...at least that is what I know.

That's cool. Lots of people played there. Nice to see them giving a bit back to James and Reese...

Jes,

Hey brother, if you and Woody manage to pull off a MOUT game count Black-Ops in!!! We'd love to attend. Have you guys tried contacting Ft. Polk? Imagine a bunch of Coon Ass Paintballers roaming a MOUT site here in Louisiana.......Oh, the carnage...LOL Seriously though, y'all would do a great job running such an event. If not at Ft. Polk Camp Shelby in Mississippi just south of Hattiesburg. They have a MOUT site they use to train up reservist, and Guard troops prior to deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Let me know. I have to call Woody tomorrow to settle up with him on some stuff he brought for me at Pirates. Talk to you soon

We'd LOVE to do McClellan. We just don't want to step on James' toes. He was there first and unless he was out of the picture we wouldn't consider it. Woody's son Shawn is Army and bounces between Pineville and Polk and elsewhere.

We have done a lot of research on Polk's Shughart-Gordon site and are just waiting to see who will have ultimate jurisdiction. Right now JRTC has control and they're very picky about who even LOOKS at their stuff. But we have our dibs in. I can tell you this much; if and when a game can be run there, it will be the most incredible game ever held on a MOUT site. The place is a dream come true for paintballers.

Shelby has already nixxed any paintball at this time becasue of the preparation activity that is constantly going on there.

BUT WE CAN HOPE!

And great seeing you guys this weekend! Great game!

TTYL!

It's a shame AAA is closing, I helped build the fields when I was part of "Phantom Regiment" from late 1989 through 1992. Lot's of fun, MSPA tourny's, ahh the memories... will(have) miss the field.

shame @ AAA -- on a lighter note, I was with a reffing team - reffed field 4 at one of the ZAP Amature International Open's way back then. Wasnt it phantom regiment that played automags w/ 6" armson barrels?

While I never got to their events, I always felt it was a shame
that their events and those at Blanding always seemed to fall
on the same weekends. Two wonderful MOUT sites and now it
looks like we're back to one. Too bad the guys who ran the
2nd event in VA messed things up, otherwise there'd be three
sites, but that's the breaks.

Anyone looking to do an event there in Alabama needs to get
in touch with the Range Control people responsible for running
the site. At least they're the ones people talk to at Blanding
if they're looking for open dates. Better come prepared with
a good business plan, insurance or you're wasting your time.

Good luck to James in whatever he looks to do now that the
field is closing.

Sincerely

Nope, not us, when I was with "Phantom Regiment" we never played IAO, we play all the Lively Event's though. I was one of the first to switch over to a Mag, but by then I was playing for "Texas Storm" in early '93. Several of the regiment swore by the Armson barrel. I used one once, and just swore at it...

It could have been 94-96 ish era after you moved on. Solid ballers. I think it was 10 man, woodsball tourneys -- and let me tell you, when 10 six" Armsons on HP mags, all opening up in a rush for high ground the sound is unforgettable.
