This article just makes the people who play paintball look like asses. If you read the first big paragraph under the picture, you will note the the bad connotation the author put to the phrase 'paintball junkies'. I don't know who would get the pleasure of shooting someone who is just trying to make a statement, and by just clicking their mouse. I'm sure there are some a**holes who just looked at his site or whatever and just clicked their mouse as many times as they could before their pathetic lives called them to do something else.

I agree with scpaintballer01 in that this guy is a bit misguided and strange for doing this in the first place but he is trying to convey a legitimate point. It sound like it was lost on most folks. You gotta give him credit for trying.
He is by no means a Tard.

My comment had nothing to do with his statement. Only the fact that he didn't anticipate someone hacking into his setup. With all the news and information on security and safeguarding your system, and the escalating number of hacker attacks going on lately, that was something that should have been avoided, thus making his statement more meaningful. I apologize for not making my comment clearer.

Webfisher is right this guy was well intentioned but didn't anticipate the hackers. The article does paint all paintballers in the same poor light (pun intended) Taking cheap shots at some poor guy locked in a room is not what most of us would call the challenge of paintball. You gotta give him credit for sticking it out as long as he did. The first time that marker took off at 20 pps I would have out of there!!

Here is another thought on this guy.... (my mind works in strange ways, I know!) But he stated that he maxed out his credit cards (plural, meaning more than one) for this statement. He also stated that there were more than 40,000 shots fired at him. Now, assuming he didn't purchase the the most expensive paint on the market for this statement, this would equate to at least 20 cases of paint at $50.00 each (general average for paint). So, he spent around $1000.00 on paint (In perspective, it is not really that big of an expense when you think about it.. How much do some of us spend on a marker/hopper/tank/paint/field fees/tournament entries, etc per year? How much does your team spend in paint for one event? Our team ordered 20 cases of paint for the PSP World Cup last year.). Now, if he was noticing that the marker was auto-firing at a rate that he didn't intend, why not figure out what was going on and NOT RELOAD the hopper? Or, when the air source ran out, find out what the problem was, fix it, then continue his declaration?

That would have been my gut instinct, but then again, I'm not trying to make a political statement.
