One would think someone had suggested deep frying young children, never fry always roast, from the deep passion that has come up in this post.
In the 12 gram days if you showed up wanting to be a Rambo we sorta decided that you were not the type of player that we wanted to hang out with.
Among the early players sportsmanship ranked very high ,then the arms race started and that went south in a hurry so I dropped out of the game.

True... but I meant "Survivalist" kooks.

(Sorry, you young people. But I don't think I can even explain that reference to you.)

thank you loop, thats exactly my point... i bought the effin thing... i should be able to use it.

wether you see it or not, you people are propagating the idea that we should stop policing our own, stop enforcing the rules we already have and just punish the masses.

thats exactly what you are saying. everyone of you has taken the stance in some form of "sure i know not every electro is gonna overshoot, but what about that one kid who does etc etc...."

no shit... what about that kid. thats is precisely why we have rules in place. and when said 12yr old with said DM7 overshoots, he gets pulled... with the victim and they both get a mature explanation. i have seen it...

Mike (aerion) i absolutely appreciate the one shot one kill. i have an ss25, 2k freeflow sniper duece and a vsc cci phantom... thats not the point. if i want to put a friggin $180 XSV Vlocity on my Brass Eagle Talon, now under this mandate, i can't.
furthermore, i'm not sure that anybody here is saying ROF caps are bad... we're saying they are sufficient. its not necessary to tell a man what equipment he has to use in order to play paintball.

i will NEVER support "umbrella" regulations. by that i mean, rules that pop up and effect everyone because of a minority of trouble makers. its lazy. enforce the standing rules and leave the players that operate within current acceptible guidelines alone.

For the record I have no problem with ROF restrictions and never have. I play pump, mechanical and electro. But I am not going to get in another debate over Pump vs. Semi or Semi vs. ramping. To me it is pointless to debate so I will agree to disagree and let that be that. The point of the matter is, if I spend my hard earned money on a force feed hopper & I am not going to be told I cannot use it at a field for rec play. I will take my money somewhere else.

thank you thank you thank you.... people around here have a BAD HABIT of agreeing with the effects of a rules, so they take the stance that the rule is good.

try being objective JUNKIES. it is NOT RIGHT to tell a man he can't use his gear, because noobs MIGHT get overshot.

just because you play pump, or you like the old school game, or you like stock class, or you think electros are the downfall of the game, or ramping is the sign of the apocolypse is null.... it doesn't matter. so the rule doesn't affect you- LUCKY YOU. stop being selfish and think about all of those people that it does affect.

You do understand that this applies to only one established paintball field in the USA. It is their right to establish whatever rule they wish and the players right to not play there. They very obviously did this because of problems at the field and if the player(s) that are the root of the problem don't like it they can certainly create their own paintball business. It may be right or not right to tell the players what they can and can't use (at their field) but it is still a free enough country that allows them to create new rules when they feel it is necessary.
If I buy a car that can go 150 mph, why can't I go 150 mph anywhere I want? Are they afraid I would run over a noob?
