10-03-04: Paintball Sports Promotions announced today that the most recognized name in world-class paintball tournaments, the legendary World Cup, would return to paintball's greatest playing venue ever, Disney World, in October 2004. Having already hosted the XBall portion of the 2002 PSP World Cup, the entire 2003 PSP World Cup and the 2004 PSP Orlando Open, the ABC Wide World of Sports Complex, located on the grounds of Disney World in Kissimmee, Florida will once again become a magnet for the best players, teams and companies in the sport of paintball as the Paintball Sports Promotions World Cup is promoted from October 23-October 30, 2004.
Offering rookie, novice and pro/am five-man and ten-man competition in addition to the hottest format in the sport of paintball, X-Ball, at the Division 3, Division 2, Division 1, and Pro levels, the World Cup will once again feature the most complete cross-section of competitive paintball ever. The National XBall League will also compete at the event, allowing all attendees to watch and cheer for the best players and teams in the world.
Held on the premises at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, players can expect lush, green grass and professionally constructed playing fields befitting the most prestigious paintball tournament ever held. As with all PSP events, the 2004 World Cup has no admission to see the games or the trade show. And the Disney resort offers a variety of activities for all attendees, players and spectators alike.
