It's time again for another JT Sports Monthly newsletter and with all of the positive feedback and emails from our first newsletter we hope this month's is even better then the last. If you love paintball as much as we do we know you will love this month's stories.
Cops aren't the only ones watching your speed
Well with the 2007 season wrapped up and players looking forward to the start of the 2008 season, the PSP and Millennium Series have instituted speed caps of 12bps and 13.33pbs respectively. We hope that the rate of fire changes will make the game even more fun to watch and play.

Millenium Series:
- The first 3 shots must be semi-auto mode only.
- Markers will be limited to a ROF of 12 balls per second, defined as no two consecutive shots may be timed shorter than 83ms apart (reading on ROF meter of 12.0 bps or less = legal; reading on ROF meter of 12.1 bps or higher = illegal)."

PSP:
7.3.6. A marker may fire at a maximum rate of 13.33 balls per second."
"This is a big step for the leagues and it's going to open up the lanes and bring more gun fighting back into play. I think we will see more make-or-break moves which will make the games a lot more exciting to watch." - Cliff Eisenbarger (NPPL division 1 player/ JT Sports Employee)

- The Academy
Each month JT highlights a professional paintball player or team who has made a significant impact on paintball. This month we are proud to highlight The Academy. This is a younger team that prides itself on its accomplishments on and off the field. Their captain and coach Dan Schwab has been playing for over 20 years and he encourages clean play and all players are required to keep their grades up in order to stay on the field. The Academy finished the 2007 season ranked #1 in the XPSL Young Guns and is ramping up for the 2008 season. You can see more info and their roster on the JT USA website.
