Louisiana Hayride!

Louisiana Teens show that they can't be left out when it comes to being stupid!

From Netscape Law Enforcement News and wdsu.com

THIBODAUX, La. --

Three teens in Lafourche Parish picked the wrong car to hit with paintball pellets and rocks Wednesday night, officials said.

Sheriff Craig Webre said he was driving under the Lafourche Crossing railroad trestle about 10:30 p.m. when the windshield of his cruiser shattered, covering him in glass shards.

He turned around in a nearby drive way and called dispatchers, then went onto a private road near the trestle.

Webre said he hid in some high grass and weeds at the bottom of an embankment and saw three people walking toward him.

He jumped out and took one of the teens into custody, officials said, but the two others ran off into the woods.

The 15-year-old told Webre who the other teens were, and another officer arrived and put the teen in handcuffs. Webre said the teen had been carrying a paintball gun.

There was yellow paint on the outside of Webre's curiser, along with a rock that broke the windshield.

Webre was treated at Thibodaux Regional Health Center for a scratched eye. Another victim at the hospital reported that his vehicle was damaged near the trestle, and investigators said they learned of a third vehicle hit in the area.

After Webre was released from the hospital with some medication, the two other teenagers were taken into custody.

* John Leger, Jr., 17, of Thibodaux, was charged with three counts of aggravated criminal damage to property, three counts of criminal mischief and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
* Leger's girlfriend, Mandy Votaw, 18, of Schriever, was also arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact. Officials said Leger called her and told her about the police pursuit so she'd pick up two of the suspects.
* The two 15-year-olds were charged with three counts of aggravated criminal damage to property and three counts of criminal mischief. They were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Stupid People

There have always been stupid people, you just hear about them more because of the media these days. Use to be stupid people eliminated themselves. Nowadays due to advances in medical technology, government handouts, and regulations stupid people tend to live longer and perform more stupid acts. The Darwin Awards
