"Paintball Guns" says in the comments...

Matt, thanks for your comment. I agree the post did confuse the two sports, so I attempted to clarify that a bit with some edits. Airsoft is very different from paintball. However, the Minnesota Airsoft Association does represent paintball players, and there are players who cross-over between the two sports. For example, note that the Association’s links page includes Special Forces Paintball and Splatball Inc. (Minnesota Airsoft Association > Links).
I think that I'd have to tell the Minnesota Airsoft Association, "Thanks, but we'd rather pull the knife out of our back without your help". Paintball players, crossover or not, should separate and distance themselves from Airsoft. Airsoft is it's own entity and to each his own. But this association automatically brought paintball into something that paintball didn't need to be hooked up with.

Don't confuse concealed carry with "concealed manner", manner in which it is transported out-of-sight.

Sorry. That was a poor attempt at humor. At least sounded better in my head.

As Gfgjester said I also didn't see any where in the artical that sales of paintball markers would be banned. Im sure Walmart would chime in with a counter suit. Or a Bill which would only be before Congress or the House of Reps. Its only the City trying to stop Kids and young adults from "Brandishing" replica firearms. Im sure if any of you would care to look there is alredy a "Law" that prevents "Brandishing" of "FireArms". It is here in Fl.
Transporting a paintball marker in a case would be AOK, but walking down the street with a paintball marker would not.
Ya know like the roring 20's when gangsters would carry there Thompson Submachine Gun in a violen case...Thats ok by the city.
Yea and whom ever was supposed to proofread that piece need to go back to school...LOL

oh and if you all remember the lazer tag game that teenagers were playing in the dark of a playground and a police officer thought he was underfire and shot and killed the teenager...Officer said he saw a flash of light...

You know if these people are commiting crimes with replica guns (i.e. paintball markers) what exactly is going to make them say, "Oh crap it is illegal to display a paintball gun that looks real, I guess I can't rob the gas station with that." Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

I just thought of this, I recently sold a couple of my older pump markers/guns to some players in Canada from ebay.
In the import paperwork for shipping into Canada it says that you cannot ship a paintball marker that looks like a real firearm to Canada.
I have to assume this would cover airsoft guns as too...
I also called the Canadian Customs as well to clear up what I didn't understand in there shipping import forum about paintball markers.
