That headline realy erks me...
It links paintballers to terrorist....or gives inpression of...
Washington Post small minds have bigger agenda linking terrorist to paintballer's....
Need to know this "paintball terrorist" back ground, like how long he was a player....where, when, ect....
How dare WP associate a terrorist with a benign sport like paintball...makes us all look very bad.

'Paintball Terrorists' Convicted of Conspiracy
FOXNews.com - 'Paintball Terrorists' Convicted of Conspiracy - U.S. & World

Feds: Miami terror cell practiced with paintball
Jihad Watch: Feds: Miami terror cell practiced with paintball

With all due respect to folks that have been playing paintball longer than I have, this may be a crappy headline, but US Jihadi's ARE using paintball games to train for small arms fire exercises. It's the responsibility of US citizens who play paintball to keep an eye out for suspicious activity at our fields, and local "outlaw-ball" areas. Bad press sucks, and our favorite recreational activity sure doesn't need the grief, but don't dismiss the convictions in a court of law because you do not like a headline.

These jihadi-wannabes are real, and they already here in the states.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- A man once accused of aiding the Taliban with a U.S. group that trained with paintball guns was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for lying to authorities about training with militants in Pakistan.
First off, I agree with the court and its' decision. What I don't agree with is grouping anyone that uses paintball "guns" as paintball players anymore than calling anyone with a shotgun a hunter.

Actual paintball players call their equipment a "marker", not a gun. Real paintball players in this country are very patriotic (from what I have encountered) and would not even dream of this. This man was not a paintballer, he was a terrorist. PERIOD! It is sad that the news only wants to report half the story. Paintball should not have been mentioned at all in this artical, as the entire focus was on the fact that he was AIDING THE TALIBAN.

Next Scenario game: Painballers Vs. The Media. (Though I doubt that anyone here would want to be on the media side...)

Paintballer???

Our Military and Police train with paintball gun too however I would still be leary to place them in the category of "Paintballers"

Terorsts use Bowing 747s however I do not call them "Commerical Airline Polits"
