"WHO THE HECK IS PACIFIC PAINTBALL", you ask. Here's the Googleation...

Pacific Paintball has been formed by Pacific Merchant Capital (“PMC”), a Santa Barbara, California based investment group. The principals at PMC have owned/operated middle market radio stations as well as built several niche media companies, including the largest taxi top advertising company in the United States which is currently an integral part of Clear Channel Communications’ outdoor division. In addition to Pacific Paintball, PMC is currently building Brite Media Group, a leading alternative media business.

Pacific Paintball LLC has acquired both the NPPL and the XPSL, the leading national and regional paintball tournament operators in the United States. Shawn Walker, current owner and President of XPSL, will be President of Pacific Paintball.

Look like big operation. I'll post info as I get it from John, guys... IF I get it.

Take a look at Jes's post. It pretty much indicates what the news article on PB2X's site was about.

According to John Amodea, nothing is going to change at PB2X right now. He is being brief in what he's telling me, and I guess I can understand why, if the whole thing is in the infant stages. I didn't know that the link was down or I would have asked. I can see that it would fuel speculation at this point.

I can give you all my promise, that as long as I'm a contibuting editor for the mag, I'll bust my ass to get as much scenario and PBJ member coverage in there that I can. There's lots in this months release and slated for next month, the September cover, is my coverage of the MPP Luzon game at Bear Claw. And after THAT, in the October issue, is my birds-eye coverage of the McClellan MOUT game on this past MEMORIAL DAY. And if you can't wait, grab the August issue and my column has team-bios on Scott Bolden/Assasin Nation and the Blackhearts. Yeah, I'm brimming with shameless self-promotion right now. I officially declare that I deserve it because I never usually say anything about my work.

The article on the Memorial Day MOUT is already in production and should be in the October issue. But I will be covering the Labor Day game, too.

I gave John a call yesterday and edited the story on my site. He's probably BEYOND busy at this point (I know from experience) so he'll respond in due course.

Jester, did you make me famous at the MOUT game?
