Yep, that's right.. The long awaited Blog package has been installed. This is a new free feature provided to all Junkie's. You can create and modify your own personal blog and more cool features will be added as they become available.
When you click on "Blogs" in the navigation bar on top of the page you will be taken to the Blog Front Page where the latest posts are at. You can comment from there (if the user has permitted you to do so) or you can click on the link to go to your blog. Getting started is as simple as posting the first message (using the same familiar editor). There is no lengthy setup process - blog owners are free to personalize their blog at any time by defining a title and a description that will appear at the top of every blog post. Fully-Featured It is a feature-rich blog application, with support for fully formatted WYSIWYG posts, attachments, comments, trackbacks and pingbacks, draft posts and categories, as well as seamless integration with the overall vBulletin system. Blog Home Page Available via a single click from any PBjunkie.com page, the blog home page aggregates activity from all member blogs into a single page – with information about the most recent and highest rated blog posts, recent comments, a featured blog post (selected by the administrator or at random), full support for browsing posts by date and overall blogging statistics. Syndication and Subscriptions Site wide and per-blog RSS feeds allow syndication to external readers, and full support for vBulletin subscriptions enables users to join their favorite blogs and receive regular email updates. Blog Control Panel The Blog Control Panel empowers members to control every aspect of their blogs, from permission controls (who has access to view and comment on the blog), to full management of blog categories, draft posts, trackbacks/pingbacks and subscriptions. Blog owners also have the ability to moderate comments on their own blog. Enjoy!

That's great. You never stop do you?
I wonder about the rules (I didn't check yet). I've not been real big on blogs, but some I've seen have allowed people to blast away at whatever & whoever they want-- by name. If it's anything like that, it'll be a real departure from the "no flaming" rules most are used to.

Now you know we won't allow that to happen.
![]() The mods will come up with some simple rules to live by for the blogs. I'm sure it will be based on not reacting in a manner which is abusive when commenting or sharing your thoughts. The blog commenting section is open to all, therefore it’s not age restricted. We have to consider others who might be too young to adsorb adult thoughts. Basically use common sense or we will take your blog away. ![]()

Additional note - stick to the intent of the individual Blog [Stay on topic]. If you want to post banter back and forth keep it to the normal threads. This will help keep the blogs clean and easier to read.
Now if the author invites smarta$$ comments then well he/she asked for it ![]() |
