I just thought I would stop in and give everyone an update. At this point I do feel better but Im still a little weak.
The ID doctor said that the actual infection that they found in me is getting better and they lowered my antibiotics.
My blood count is still all over the place (which is normal from what I am told) but all my levels are still very low and it is still very easy for me to catch something that can be life threatening.
I want to again thank all the people that have contacted me and offered their support in this very trying time in my life. I will say this, please if you are younger then remember later in life you WILL have to deal with things so make it a good practice to get a yearly (at the least) checkup and for the other older guys out here like me, make sure you guys go get a check up as well. Dont be stuburn like myself and say it cant happen to you.
3 weeks before I was sick, I felt like a million bucks and I never in a million years would have thought I have a problem. Cancer is a very serious diesease and its nothing to play with and in my case whatever the final diagnosis is, whatever I have should be in its very intial stages and should be easier to treat so that is some good news.
Just dont think feeling sick to your stomach for more then a couple of days or things like this. Dont feel like you are being a wimp if you go to the doctor. Just do it.
We are supposed to have some prelim information hopefully tomorrow but we will not have the exact results from the Bone Marrow Biophsy. Those results are supposed to be here mid to late in the week.
