It says used to identify...means they can pull them out later. Besides, they won't be firing hundreds like we do. They will fire enough to do what they are trying to. They aren't going to try to stop a riot with paintballs...won't happen.

As soon as the individuals make the choice to begin riotting they have placed themselves in a position where consequences are abound; from other riotters as well as law enforcement.

My hats off to law enforcement for announcing ahead of time what some of the consequences are. "Don't swing,...don't get your eye shot." LoL

And as for innocent bystanders, they are an unfortunate product of any show of force. But don't fool yourself, every spectator there is quite aware of the possibilities that go on at these games. I've attended one, and that was enough for me. The rest will be on TV.

If applied the way I understood, they will mark (to identify ) then extract the individuals. If they can contain those individuals that pose the threat of starting the riot, they just may be able to prevent one from starting. That is a mighty big may be.

I was being a smart a$$. Were it up to me the rioters would be taken out with shotguns. I just don't want to see the headlines associating paintball with injuries to rioters.

Sort of overlooked that point, so that will be something different to see. Marking the "bad" rioters, could work...

I guess they don't use the good old new fashined sticky shocker, it shoots a battery onto your suspects body and it sends this charge into them. Oh yes my favorite part is no matter how fast you run or how much you shake it sticks. One more thing it gives you a whole lot more of a shock than am electric fence for those crazy people who grab them. Wait I have, seriuosly I wanted to see if it was on.

I agree with Snake. I saw that on court tv. They put pepper spray into like a paintball and they nailed this one guy. He went down. It was crazy. They would probally use like Tippmanns or something. That's what they used on the guy I mentioned eariler.

Yeah, pepper balls work but the company that sells them has them juiced to about 450-500 fps. But you say, "500 fps?!?! That could be really dangerous!" Well, it is. The Boston PD found out it can be fatal.
