Yes it does have eyes, and is a sear tripper. The searcatch is circular aound the bolt and the bolt rotaes slightly each time the gun fies so the sear does not catch on the same spot each time which reduces wear. The gun also has multiple modes and this morning we were firing in PSP mode. A little loud perhaps but rocks right along. Easy trigger adjustment/sensitivity Proto quality and will give the other sear trippers out there a run for the money. I don't believe Proto aimed this gun at getting the experienced players to change over but to get the entry level players some additional quality and fit you don't seem to get with the usual sear trippers.
