Triggertyme Columbia, SC LIVES!

This weekend I went out to Triggertyme to check on the rumor it had closed it's doors this summer. Well the rumor has some truth to it. The first 2 weeks of July Triggertyme was closed but then re-opened under new ownership/management. I spoke to one of the new owners, while they were in the process of making improvements to the compound and renovating their store. The field was having some financial/organizational difficulties resulting in the closure but a partnership of seasoned players bought out the previous owner. The new owners soon took over, reopened the doors and immediately started a complete renovation of the field. The new owners are sinking significant capital into field improvement and updating their website is going on as we spoke.

The following is the link to their current web site that is soon to be updated with the correct contact info. http://www.triggertyme.com/

If you would like to contact some won at the field please use the following information: email - gjokersc@yahoo.com Phone - (803) 467-2189

I spoke for quite sometime to the staff and one of the owners Sunday and the were very excited about getting the field re-organized, cleaned up and growing again. They are even keeping their upcoming scenario Pendragon 2-3 Oct (http://www.triggertyme.com/flyer.pdf) in their schedule. I'm going to keep in touch with the field and let you all know how things are going.

GOOD LUCK Triggertyme! :icon_bigg

Definately keep us updated. I would love to see them fix some of the on the field reffing issues that have popped up in the past. They definately have a field with great potential. The terrain is excellent. The only issues I have had in the past were staff related. Oh, and issues with a certain team from Georgia.

That team from all I can tell does not exist anymore. They started falling apart after the episode at Triggertyme and their follow-up at Wayne's World. Now some of the players are at least still around since I saw some the last Wayne's game we went to but the team appears gone.

When I spoke to Joker Sunday I let him know where the problems we had seen existing and he assured me that they know and want to start over with the staff. As I said they were busy trying to repair/change problems from neglect over the last few years. Though they were not overly busy with players while I was there there seemed to be significant ADULT staff/judges to handle many more players minus the KID judge factor. Their turn around factor had greatly improved as players came off the field the judges were getting them turned around and right back on the field which in my view is a great improvement. I did not play so can not say how the actual judging went but some of the judges I know and I'm quite sure the rest were toeing the line. Time will tell but from what I see they are starting out correctly.

On the contraire. I was doing research last week concerning the free scenario at Low Country paintball and I came across their web site. They are organized and are scheduled to attend that scenario in December judging by their schedule.

Hmmm! Might be a good reason to attend using the paint sprayers vs. the pumpers if we go to the Free Game. :evil_lol: Jami you've got to come back in time so we can pick up hunting where we had left off on that Sunday! :evil_lol:

Wow, that is very tempting. If someone will pick up my travel costs I am in. Of course RK would not get MVT, but beating them off the field in two hours again would be worth it.

Airline tickets should be in the neighborhood of $1600-$2000.
