i have to go with kingman. i just like the way they are. not as durable as the 98 but still very nice guns. i have a feeling this is going to turn into a kingman vs. tippmann thread.

yes it is and by the way spyders are easier to fix on your own unlike a tippman where you need a diagram just to put a claen it and replace the bolt, and spyders have outside company upgrades unlike a tippman increaseing the cost of upgrades because the company is tho only one who produces up grades

that is true about the break down of a tippman, springs and little values shoot out everywhere when you take the frame apart.

i started with a spyder TL+. i wouldnt truely recomend a eletro spyder i have noticed that of lately they have alot of "bugs" in them and get bounce very easyly (which is agianst the rules at many fields)

if you are only gonna play like once a month a tippman is a good realiable gun with many upgrades to get as you improve your skills.

when you just gettign into paintball its all about color and looks, all the entry level guns work perrty good, not untill way later will it get to matter about little details such as MROF and eyes or whatever........

just have fun!

its not that hard to work on a tippmann, still not as easy as a spyder, but not that hard. i do work on my lil bros, 98, and beanerrs 98. they are pretty simple when you think about it.

yeah i got my 98 customs internals memorized like the back of my hand, its very easy for me, it just takes a while beacuse there are no field strip pins. But its still good. But i like the 98 custom way more than a spyder.

so you are saying that you work on your tippman so often that you have memerized where each peice gose, therefore you are saying that spyders are more relibale, because tippmans have complacated interals.

Kingman

If i were you i woulod get a kingman, i started off with the spyder tl-x, and it was awesome. it is as easy to take care of as the tippy 98c, it just needs to be cleaned and a few drops of oil in the ASA every once in a while

No im not saying that, im saying, yes that it is a little harder to field strip the 98, but i still perfer it beacuse, the whole gun splits in half and you can see the whole thing, unlike the spyders where you pull some pins and the bolt, etc comes out of the back, thats my own opinoin. And i never said that the internals of a tippmann are complicated, you must have missunder stood me, and yes i do know the internals of my 98 custom very well, i have like 6 home made mods done to this Beutiful marker.

well i had an epiffany, tippmans are better for woods ball (with the flat line barrel system) where as spyders are more for the speed ball field, mostly due to weight diffrances

Ok good im glad we can agree with something, yes i will admit spyders are more tuned for the speed ball type of play. And tippmanns for the woods ball, rec players.
