etek or 06 ego
well im buying a new gun and i narrowed it down to a etek and 06 ego.
what gun should i get? stock 06 ego or a etek with a zick kit,cure bolt and virtue board

Is the etek just an etek or is it an etek II? If it is an Etek II I would recommend it but cause it is basically the same internals as an 06 ego. If it is a standard Etek I would reccomend the 06ego. I have an 06 myself and My Dm's are now just in case someone elses gun goes down.

had a 06 dark ego and played with a etek both markers ungodly loud, run thru air like its going out of style, and kick alot, my dm7 out of the box shot 6 pods and a hoper on one 68/45 fill, no kick, and so so quite. but then again its all up to the player get a hold of all the marker you can find and test them out. get what feels good to you

Wow. I have a ETEK One with an B'Oranged bolt, Zick kit & Virtue board. It is fast as I want it to be, super efficient (4 pods/hopper off 45/45 with 2K left), and is loud with the stock barrel shooting air. With paint, they're as loud as any other marker. I use a Freak on mine with a 14" AA and it rolls nicely. I found that if you use a "loose" insert, they shoot better. The stock barrel is one of, if not, the best I've ever used. The ETEK II is even better, with a "Shocker" style board mount and a 2 pc Ego barrel. You can pick up NEW ETEK Ones for under five bills...
But Chappy makes a very good point. Shoot around and get what feels the best to you. Don't know where you're located, but I'll be at Bear Claw in a cople of weeks and you're more than welcome to test out mine.
