I wear tennis shoes. They do fine for me, and usually I can get somewhere faster than anyone else if I am sprinting...

I have fallen once though, do to I guess slippery straw, so cleats might be nice, but not necessary as far as I am concerned.

I wear cleats generally as a rule. But I almost blew out my knee a few months back due to the cleats gripping too well, so now I wear running shoes. They grip fine and are more comfortable. But if I am playing in swampy terrain or its cold out I wear Wolverine durashocks, they are comfortable and give the support where it is needed plus they a water proof.

I know it has been said several times but keep you feet dry, change your socks as neccessary.

AMEN! Nice, comfortable, LIGHT boots, and if mine wear out, oh well, i can buy three pair and still under some of the higher end stuff.

Also, if i know it is all woods, i have some metal baseball cleats from back in the day. Used to wear them when we would play Normandy games. When the hill is almost vertical, you need all the help you can get!

I've got a pair of Merrell Hikers... Good ankle support and very light, and I'm not AS clumsy. Makes the 24 hour scenarios very...very comfortable..

I used to run around a cheap pair of hikers from Walmart, but I could barely make it through a day of rec ball; I guess everyone's feet are different.

JC PENNEY's had Timberland Boots half off right after Christmas last year....Extremely comfortable. To add to it I also put Wolverine gell inserts in them and they are great....Altogether 60 - 65.00 range.....

I agree with one of the posts earlier.....If your feet hurt it can make for a miserable day.....

I tried a pair of boots and they were too heavy for me so I just wear my good ole Tennis shoes for now. They work fine cuz they are broke in and I can run and slide in them easier than boots.

Most full leather boots are pretty heavy (but great for raining/wet days). The new ACU suede boots are lightweight and wear just like sneakers. I love them!
