I know you and what you like so I will take liberty to say: No, you don't want a spyder.
I am making the assumption that you like simple or no maintenance. Playing rather than messing with your marker. I am sure that Spyder is a respectable name in paintball, right? My experience: I played a woodsball game, albeit small. But one-by-one, guys without tippmanns dropped out of the game as the day went on. Incase you're wondering, 3 spyders and a wally world viewloader. Busted seals, chopping balls for no reason. It really sucked, because Charlie was good to go. As well as the rest of the tippies and we just kept waiting, stopping the game, etc. Also, an MR3 went down hard with chopped paint, stuck the bolt jammed shut. We started on a take down, it is not like a tippy. You can forget field takedown. Seemed more like laptop repair. Anyway, I probably don't know what i am talking about. I don't have one. All I know is: I was proud to have a tippy that day because they are so STINKIN' reliable. It would probably be a bad loaner too. Could you imagine tending to your loaner more than your primary? |

MR "any number "... no
however Charlie I have to differ with you. I love my A-5, but got rid of my son's 98C. It just takes too long to break down, i.e too many bolts versus a simple pin removal. You know that A-5's have removable pins for stripping. But so does the only gun I've ever had that has need no repair ever. It's an 03 Spyder Imagine. not the fastest electro trigger blowback, but runs with an egg, and SP barrel like nobody's business. The VS series is nice too, but I have never heard anything but bad reviews when it comes to the MR series. Maybe if you can get it for like $25 then use the parts for a VS or the new Electra w/eyes? Oh FYI our Tippy's have adapters on them for Spyder threads so we swap barrels as needed between the RT's and electros depending on battteries and rain Last edited by Volcano; 05-11-2008 at 01:54 PM. |
