SP1's look cool, new vibes also, anyone have them? Easier to maintain than the first Ion models? I like being able to mount acessories on the weaver rails, so many options for upgrades too, no wonder they are so popular. Like my SP8, but I love my Epiphany. Maybe SP will come out with a pump soon since it is coming back again strong.

Hey don't forget about the PMR. I know I love mine and I have shot everything under the sun except maybe a R7 and the new Mini. Buy from a local field too so you know that if something does go wrong the field will be more than happy to work on your marker and not charge you a dime.

Something of note here that hasn't been mentioned... If you decide on a Tippmann or an SP-1, you can use CO2 without problems. However, an SP-8 or Ion needs HPA to perform properly. And I KNOW SP says that all you need is an anti-siphon rig on your CO2 tank and it will all be fine. Sorry, but that works for about 1% of the people who try it. Every single Ion/SP-8 that we've sold to players who have decided to try the AS/CO2 route have been back within a month to go to HPA.
But HPA is not an all bad thing for your wallet. The new Guerilla Air 48/3K is a blessing to players who want to go HPA and have limited funds. Its a steel tank with a Myth regulator on it that sells street at around $49.95. You get 300-350 shots out of it and when you decide to go up to a fiber wrap 4.5K tank, the 48 is great for a backup. Just get all day air at your field and you're set. It's not much of a solution for those outlaw players without field fill access, unless you get a SCUBA tank. And we're finding that a lot of the local dive shops are renting tanks specifically to paintball players with a dedicated waiver. $10-12 a day. The adapters to fill your tank from the SCUBA run around fifty bucks. Now you've got even MORE stuff to think about! Good Luck! ![]() |

Socoj's most correct. Rooster, if you go to a JCS Red Hot Power Tube and a Supafly Bolt, you should increase your efficiency and get even more...

I have an A5, X7, and Ion. I like the A5 over the others. You can beat it to death and it still keeps going. It's easily in your price range, lot's of upgrades, easy to maintain...
Play safe and have fun, Omnicool |

im gettin about 1200 off a 88/45 on my mini. thats what i was referring to. but as far as the ion gettin a case... wow! thats soooo convenient at big games. nothins worse than runnin out of air on the field while doing a mission and havin to walk back just to stand in line.
