Another Gen X fan here. I have had mine on my sniper 2 for years and it is still the most consitent gun I own.

Macro fittings were hard to get on and off because the bottom part of the reg turns as you trie to unscrew the fitting. I hated the way it adjusted too. Not so much that it couldn't regulate, just the design of it kinda sucked IMO.

yeah i see what your saying, the bottom part does twist a little bit, it would be hard to get a hose of or on when you first get it. The velocity adj is a little diffrent as well. I like it tho.

the black maic reg seems to work ok. my velocity was jumping 20+-fps but i had some really shitty paint

It will take a while for it to break in (probably a couple cases). Once broke in the velocity should settle within an acceptable range.
