I really wish we could post a copy of the smack talk between Grendel, Lisa, and myself from a few scenarios ago. It would really go to show people how to tastefully, intelligently, and creatively insult someone without causing harm.

Over the last few months there has been alot of flaming, and ALOT of the speedball VS Woodsball mentality. When I first joined this forum I noticed right away that this forum was different from the majority of the paintball forums out there, because there weren't alot of clique's, and there didn't seem to be alot of I'm better than you mentality. Since most everyone on here is from the same general geographic area, we actually get to play together, and get to know each other a little better than say PBnation, or most others for that matter. Now recently it seems like alot of people would rather argue, or talk crap to one another.

Personally I wish we could cut out some of the crap, and get back to the main focus of why we are all here PAINTBALL. This forum used to be for sharing of inforamtion and ideas not insults and name calling. I think we should remember the main focus of why we are all on here PAINTBALL. So how about we leave the big ego at home and just play? OK well I'll get off my soap box now just had to comment on my observation.

Sneaky your right but remember.....I'm always right!

In other forums there are report buttons where you can report offensive posts to mods and they'll have a look at it.

I suggest that.

One of the biggest things that turned me on to paintball was the fact that you could go out on the field and just jump in with a team that runs together and they accepted you no matter what. This is the only sport that I know of that you can do that. You make friends fast and you enjoy playing with those you know and those that are new. What I am getting at is, Paintball is like a family and like all families there will be disagreements but some of the stuff that is posted on the boards is a little harsh and uncalled for. It hurts peoples feelings and egos. So what if you THINK you are better than someone else. Lend them some of your knowledge and help them become a better player. Coming on the forum and bashing and name calling, leave that on the playground. I may be a female but drama is definantly not for me.
Hope I didn't rub anyone the wrong way

Grendel, drewcif, well I think you guys know exactly what I'm talking about..the rest of you let me try to clarify, it's not any one specific offensive act..it's more a trend. there are certain elements on this forum that seem to be looking to argue, or to put someone else down every time they come on. I realize our mods do an outstanding job (that would be one of the reasons I'm on here as opposed to some other forums) but it seems to me if we are grown up enough to SAFELY play this sport, we should be grown up enough that we don't need other people to referee our interactions with each other. Now, I know that it is necessary, but that's just kinda sad... I was simply saying that recently there have been people just generally stirring up crap more than I can remember from when I first joined this forum. I am confident our mods will handle it. I just thought if I could provoke a little thought, and let it be known that other people see it too, then maybe these elements would police themselves. I don't like to see ANYONE get banned, I enjoy talking to ANYONE who loves the game as much as I do....be they woodsballer, speedballer, whatever. Hopefully this will reach my intended audience, if not well then I suppose it will all work itself out.

AWW Crap ok, this is sneaky didn't realize I was using my better halfs account!

I completely agree with that. I mean no matter if you are an experienced player, or a first timer. You can jump in with just about anyone you want, unless you come acros those random few, they will take you in and help show you the ropes or just play along side you like an old friend or something. I lost count of how many times playing rec-ball or even scenarios and see younger kids or even people my age or older that look lost and don't know what to do, and I'll talk to them, give them some advice or even have them tag along with me. Plus its always a blast coaching the little kids, those kids will do anything. lol

I may be new to the scenario community, but i know exactly what you're talking about man. i've helped out quite a few little leaguers at a woodsball or speedball game. its so fun. i love the gratitude i feel when i help someone with the game and they end up loving paintball. i've been looking on here, but i really haven't seen anything like that. i guess i've been lucky not to have experienced the really bad comments on here. the moderators are just doing too good a job maybe? lol
