Simulated Artillery for MPP Games

So i was talking with Wizard and Tennis ball artillery came up....

So you definatly do not want to get shot by a tennis ball traveling at 100+ MPH.

IF we restricted artillery to a 45 degree angle The fastest one of these would be traveling is about 45 MPH. And most of the high Eleveation shots would be lower then that.

So Lets hear some Opinions on blue Chalk tennis ball Artillery??

I think some form of artillery would definitely add a new edge to the sport.. Then we'll just have to teach paintball players how to call artillery grids.

My only concern would be if it happen to hit somebody, it could knock of a mask.

i googled alot of vid on the pnuematic t.ball launchers. still undecided. i could see it working well in tank on tank or long ranged bunker busting. remember that old ass show "american gladiators"? they had a semi auto pnuematic launcher they used in one of their competitions. and they were shooting at players. the only thing i see bad is knocking off a mask, damaging someones gear or marker, or hitting someone in the balls.

Pneumatic would be fun, but how about the old fashioned "lighter fluid" powered tennis ball cannon. Seriously fun, and pretty harmless when shot upwards. The cannons I built as a teen could probably shoot 150+ yards... Funny as hell, with the occasional "flaming" ball. More danger to the gunner than anyone else...
