A lot of us have been pumping all the time lately getting ready for the PBC challenge, so to me this is a great idea. Most places now only allow semi mode during events, so this is already done by most of us. With the ROF on most markers nowdays it is not a problem to semi at 10-15 a sec, now I am not that fast, but i know some that are.
I think this will be good for most players, but some find it hard to play without ramping. Slower ROF makes you hone your aim and improve your snap shooting also. I say try it out on a rec day first with alot of your regulars, if it goes over good, have a day long (or 2) and do it for everyone. It will take total cooperation from players and your refs to make it work. I had to send a ref to check a guy at the last DEA vs Cartel at Anniston because I knew he could not semi at me that fast, and he had to take the walk because he was ramping. "I did not know it was bacause it is my buddies marker" was the excuse he gave the ref. Nothing was done before hand, refs have alot of people to look at at large events, but the ref listened to me, watched the guy shoot and then went and checked him out. That is a good ref! It will take cooperation like that for your event to be a success. Like I said, give it a test run, then do it.
