Jester's Golden Rule of Smack Talk Etiquette - Never, never get personal. It always leads to hurt feelings and misunderstandings.

i.e. If your team is playing as Wookies and the opposition is the Imperial Storm Troopers with Bob as General, you may say that the Stormies are rotten potatoes to the core. But it is a no-no to say that Bob is in need of Enzyte...

Angry Well... I Never!!!!

I AM SO AFFENDED BY THE COMPLETE LACK OF ANYTHING OFFENSIVE HERE!!!

I mean let's be surreal here... If you enter a smack-talk forum, then you should expect to take your lumps. I think it's probably best to leave out Mothers, Sisters (unless we're talkin Nuns, then thats okay) and lack of legitimate Fathers, but I agree that gay brothers or gully-yodeling sisters are fair game.

And HavokRooster I have a large knitting needle I use on my INFLATED EGO, when it starts getting difficult to enter rooms that I will allow you to use should you find it necessary...

one big point to add - we may be enemies this game, but next game will may be sided together - i try hard to keep in mind when pushing buttons.
Hahahahahahahaha. ROFL. I got a kick and a half out of that. +1 to Thumper for humorousness.

Back when the Pirates rolled, we were known for our smack talk on and off the field, mainly off. But for the most part we knew where the lines were and we tried our best to stay away from them. But we had our fun and we got smack talked back to just as much as we dished it out. I don't think I've ever yelled as much at people on the other side of the field as I did in that Fort Gordon game. Not like...yelled as in mad, but yelled trash talk, etc. It adds more fun to the game if used right, because whoever you trash talked to is going to be looking for you which gets both person's adrenaline going wayyyy up. And it's just hilarious.

But when it comes down to it and a few teams on here can attest to this, we were the coolest team evar.

Well, it looks like there's a strong agreement for the following smack talk rules:

1. In the forums, don't give it if you can't take it.

2. Remember, it's all in fun.

3. Stay away from getting too personal. Don't bring family & religion in to the discussion.

4. In-person Smack talk, wether at someone's camp or on the field, isn't to be done unless it's done in obvious jest. Any person doing otherwise can expect an earful at the least and maybe a butt kicking.

*********thus ends the court of smack talk--you were the judge******

Personal note: For a change, my gut feelings & opinions seemed to be in complete agreement with the majority on a subject.

Personnaly, I like to hear the opposing viewpoint on subjects. That tends to reinforce my own opinions or challenge me to expand my thinking. Either way I win, but I took most, if not all of the posts to be in fairly detailed agreement with each other.
