How did you get into paintball?

"Some of my friends played, so I bought myself a paintball gun for Christmas a few years ago. We get 15 or 20 guys out there and play three or four times when I'm home. It can get pretty intense."

Where do you play?

"My cousin lives in Simi Valley [Calif.], and he's got about two or three acres in his backyard that he's converted into a paintball course. He built trenches, sniper towers, stuff like that."

Are you a good shot?

"I'm getting there. My cousin has the upper hand now because the course is in his backyard and he knows the area so well. We're all pretty much equal except for him."

At 6-7, you're a pretty big target out there."

"I wear camo, so I blend in well. But when I'm running around, it's pretty easy to spot me."

Do you plan on introducing some of your teammates to the sport?

"I'd like to get it going around here, but I also don't want to get hurt. Or cause them to get hurt either."
