FYI. The Empire / Halo Carbon fiber shells do not contain carbon fiber. Cost of just a Halo shell comprised of carbon fiber would cost in excess of 300.00

Cracking around the neck? I replaced mine with a Hybrid and I try to put the marker on my stand so the neck will not have to support the weight, been okay since then. I like the Halo, and it is easier to clean out with the suicide shell, also holds a few more balls. You could try the wrap, but they are so heavy to begin with, do you really want to add more?

It's a bit more involved than you might think. You just can't pour carbon fiber in to a mold like you can with polycarbonate.

Its pretty much identical to fiberglass.. And if you are paying $300 for enough to make a hopper, someone is ripping you off. It wouldnt be difficult to wrap a shell in kevlar and resin. Though it would add a bit of weight to it, it would be tough as nails.
