The Tournament paintball gun

A very wise man once stated that within the next year the common tournament gun would be under 500$. That we had the technology to make a grade A gun for a grade B price, but no one ever really got it quite. Untill now, Smart Parts has made the Ion as we all know, though it may look like a piece of crap in some people opion, expect this thing to be the next Impulse. I look at the transformation of a regular player. The common newb starts with the 98C, then moves on to a cocker, and then to the impulse. The 98C player usually plays a mix of woods and speed, the cocker, if ebladed plays speed, but everynow and then woods. And the Impulse player is usually trying to get into tourney ball. The Ion has gotten rid of this progression. It has moved the impulse out and squeezed itsself between the cocker and the Timmy so to say. This could have been the best thing for smartparts to do. They are offering an electro gun with changeable shells for under 300! Ok, on to the next thing. The common tourney has a 15 BPS cap, with the right board this gun could rock the tourney scene. After looking at some diagrams i noticed the one thing that could limit this gun from right out of the box play, and thats the feedtube, its not screw or anything its just a friction. Another feature that seals the deal is the break beam eyes. No gun has ever had break beam eyes for under 300. This will be the gun of choice in no matter of time, then again, the vid is sweet and you have to see me on AIM to get it. Id like to see more reviews about it though before i look into buying one. Right now, great back up gun, not the regular.

You can get an electronic spyder/clone for $300. The only thing new here is that SP has grown their market.
